About the Role

We are seeking a part-time SEN Food Tech Teacher to join our team at Arc School Old Arley, part of Kedleston Group Ltd. The successful candidate will work with small groups of children who have special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and attachment difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and inspire children to develop their confidence and capability through creating engaging food tech lessons appropriate to their needs.
  • Work with a dedicated and passionate team of professional colleagues who are committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of the children and supporting them to achieve their full potential.
  • Be familiar with key policies and ensure you know the steps to take should you be made aware of a safeguarding or child protection concern.
Requirements
  • A qualified and experienced teacher (QTS/QTLS)
  • Familiar with working with children who have special educational needs either in a mainstream or special education setting
  • Committed to safeguarding and supporting children to achieve their full potential
  • Happy to work as part of a job share arrangement alongside another Food Tech Teacher
