Job Description

Edwards & Pearce is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of technical compliance is maintained throughout our factory processes and due diligence procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calibrate and verify the accuracy of scales, temperature probes, and pH meters.
  • Conduct product, room, and sterilizer temperature checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Perform glass and brittle object checks and audits to identify any potential quality issues.
  • Verify label accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Calibrate and check chemical cleaning strengths to ensure effectiveness.
  • Monitor and maintain factory GMP and operating standards, including record-keeping.
  • Complete non-conformance documentation and raw material and product traceability documentation.
  • Provide internal and external audit support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous quality experience in a food production environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Food production experience in a factory environment, preferably in the meat industry.
  • Ability to work across all levels within the business, including company directors, external customers, and audit bodies.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30. Bank holidays are a normal working day, on a rota basis, due to the nature of the business. A day in lieu will be given for working bank holidays.
