About the Role
We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Practitioner. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities who live in their own shared home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with their day-to-day needs, including shopping, finances, cooking, housework, personal care, and medication.
- Provide support with hobbies and interests, such as music, arts & crafts, and activities and walks in the local community.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- A caring and compassionate attitude.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- An excellent grasp of the English language (written & spoken).
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Confidence in the use of computers.
Shift Patterns
As we provide around-the-clock support, shift patterns will involve early mornings, days, and evenings. Weekends, public holidays, and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. You will receive an additional payment of £96 for every sleepover shift you work.
