Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Lead Fire Safety Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Offer expert advice on UK and European fire safety regulations and standards to our clients.
- Collaborate with Structural Engineering, Building Physics, and Product Development teams.
- Provide technical guidance on fire safety aspects related to Facade, Steel, modular, and innovative building systems.
- Manage fire testing projects for clients, including various testing types such as wall, floor, and cladding tests.
- Oversee the construction of test panels at designated facilities.
- Attend and witness fire tests in accredited laboratories.
- Review and ensure test reports align with client expectations.
- Create detailed test drawing packages for each testing requirement.
- Evaluate and advise on Fire Test Details.
- Innovate construction products and systems tailored to client specifications.
- Maintain proactive engagement with clients throughout project lifecycles.
- Drive business development initiatives both domestically and internationally.
- Assess project fire safety strategies.
- Compile desktop fire assessments based on completed fire tests.
- Conduct heat transfer modeling.
- Contribute to thermomechanical modeling efforts.
- Foster the development of Intellectual Property within the organization.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in Fire Safety or Structural Engineering, supported by relevant qualifications. A comprehensive understanding of Technical Guidance Document B, Approved Document B, and applicable Standards and Codes of Practice is essential. The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships is also crucial for success in this role.
