Role Highlights

We are excited to announce a pivotal role within our NBIT Team for a Lead Developer, who will play a crucial part in a transformative initiative that impacts all facets of The Post Office Technology division. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the delivery, upkeep, and support of our internal software solutions. This position is integral to the development of new applications and services as we enhance our trading platforms, significantly improving experiences for both Postmasters and Customers.

As a Lead Developer, you will spearhead the creation of fully operational, cloud-based applications and microservices. You will also work closely with the entire B&DE department to facilitate the Agile delivery process, while leading and motivating a team of developers, serving as the liaison between the development team, senior management, and other business units.

Qualifications for Success
  • Extensive experience in developing applications across various programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Go, ReactJS, and ReactNative)
  • Proven leadership experience in managing developer teams
  • Strong understanding of full-stack software development principles, architecture, and best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud-native microservices and distributed systems (preferably AWS)
  • Solid grasp of data structures and architectures, utilizing both relational and non-relational database methodologies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of test-driven development and testing methodologies
