Companion Volunteer

We are seeking compassionate and friendly individuals to join our team as Befriender 'In Home' Volunteers. As a volunteer, you will provide companionship to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, in our homes and activities centre in Seaford, East Sussex.
Key Responsibilities- Visit individuals in their homes and engage in activities such as chatting, reading, and playing games.
- Build meaningful relationships with individuals and provide emotional support.
- Be punctual and reliable, and able to deal with confidential information.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Be kind, empathetic, and friendly.
- Have a good sense of humour and enjoy chatting.
- Be able to commit to a regular visiting schedule.
- Be able to pass a DBS check and provide two satisfactory references.
