Literacy Companion

We are seeking a volunteer to befriend and read to someone we support in one of our homes in Seaford. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on the life of someone who needs your companionship and support.

As a Companion Reader, you will provide companionship to someone we support and spend time with them, visiting them in the home once a week and reading books aloud. We are particularly looking for someone who enjoys reading crime fiction, thrillers, true crime, and detective stories.

• To have a good sense of humour and love to chat
• To be punctual and reliable
• A keen interest in reading/books
• To be able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures
