Principal Process Safety Engineer

iO Associates, a global engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Safety Engineer to join their Nuclear and Power team. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical support to deliver projects for clients, either in-house or via secondment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead process safety-related project issues and supervise the delivery of high-quality technical safety activities.
  • Provide assistance on proposals and bids for future projects.
  • Conduct multidiscipline hazard workshops, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, bowtie analysis, and ALARP demonstration.
  • Establish the severity of hazards in risk assessments, including fire, toxics, and explosion.
  • Conduct DSEAR risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Experience in conducting hazard workshops and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of process safety regulations, including ATEX and COMAH.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
