We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pastoral Tutor to join our team at Kingston College. As a Pastoral Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Track and monitor the progress of a specific group of Further Education learners
- Conduct 1:1 meetings with learners to discuss their progress and set goals
- Deliver College group tutorial programmes to support learner development
- Liaise with staff and parents/guardians to ensure effective communication and support
- Signpost learners to wider support services as needed
- Contribute to the College Safeguarding team, supporting a caseload of students
- Experience of delivering student workshops or tutorials to a diverse range of students
- Ability to support learner progress on a 1:1 basis
- Understanding of the needs of students and how to meet them
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a high-performing team
- Desirable: Level 3 qualification in Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology or Health & Social Care; experience of careers advice and guidance
