Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our Major Projects team, you will be responsible for managing large and complex subcontract packages from tender to final account.
Key Responsibilities- Take full commercial responsibility for large and complex subcontract packages, ensuring timely preparation of reliable monthly cost/value reports and monitoring of accounts against cost and programme forecasts.
- Commercially manage subcontractors, including processing payments, obtaining final account agreements, and resolving disputed issues by negotiation.
- Ensure cash flow is optimized, including ensuring payments are received and made on time, and responsible for the timely production of applications for payments in accordance with the provisions of the conditions of contract.
- Manage change and risk processes within works packages and support the wider project commercial team with appropriate contract notices.
- Assist in the production of monthly/quarterly reports and provide commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts, to the management team.
- Education to degree level or equivalent experience within a similar role.
- Working knowledge and experience of ECC NEC4 contracts.
- Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full valid driving license.
