We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Bonnyrigg Health Centre. This is a fixed-term position for one year, offering an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals within our community.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with mental health conditions, from initial assessment through to discharge.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Offer specialized guidance and support to healthcare professionals, carers, clients, and their families.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of mental health services within our organization.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and students.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with Mental Health (RMN) qualification.
  • Substantial post-registration experience in a clinical mental health setting.
  • Nonmedical nurse prescribing experience, as relevant to the role.
  • Proven ability in management, education, and training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management abilities and the capacity to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Experience in research and audit methodologies.
  • Proficiency in standard IT packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
