Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be practicing autonomously as a Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner within the Paediatric Emergency Department and the Children's Assessment Unit, providing patient-centred quality care for children presenting with a broad range of conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care for children with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.
  • Ensure safe referral, admission avoidance, and discharge of children across the Paediatric Emergency Department, Children's Assessment Unit, and the wider community setting.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Person Specification
  • Current professional registration with a relevant professional regulator.
  • Completion of a recognised Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner programme.
  • Advanced Paediatric Life Support provider certification.
  • Current NMC Registration RN Child / RSCN.
  • Working towards completion of MSc Advanced Clinical Practice or academic equivalence through an ePortfolio-supported route.
Experience
  • Significant post-registration experience in acute Paediatrics.
  • Post-registration experience in Paediatrics as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
