About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our Land UK Munitions team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our business development and strategy team, you will play a critical role in growing our order pipeline and shaping the future direction of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key focal point for business development across the Land UK business, enabling business growth through effective order pipeline management and prioritisation of resources.
  • Own key customer and partner relationships across both the UK and international markets, influencing and shaping our customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure excellence in business winning capability and culture across the team, leading and developing a team of direct reports.
  • Deputise for the Business Development and Strategy Director where required, providing strategic leadership and guidance to the team.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working in Business Development, within a highly regulated industry, with a deep understanding of Business Development processes.
  • Shipley business winning training or equivalent, with a successful track record in delivering change within teams.
  • Experience in securing major defence contracts, with the ability to foster strong relationships at a range of levels.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience in leading small teams of business development professionals.
