Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, including annual reviews and development plans.
  • Support the development and implementation of product approval processes, software integration, and project delivery, ensuring that products, tools, and processes remain fit for purpose and enable continuous improvement.
  • Design and develop hardware products and systems, including component, PCB, and enclosure level design, as well as integration of COTS-based hardware products with custom application software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the company.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in an electronics or electrical engineering discipline.
  • C&G Requirements for Electrical Installations (16th or 17th edition).
  • Strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design, including COM carrier board design.
  • Proficient in designing for EMC compliance with sound knowledge of EMC testing.
  • Able to build, specify, and deploy PC-based solutions, including OS deployment and configuration.
  • Able to produce product V&V test specifications and perform testing.
  • Knowledge of embedded software and operating systems.
  • Set-up and configuration of development tools.
