  • Apply mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge throughout product lifecycles.
  • Manage stages of system lifecycle including requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification, and qualification.
  • Develop and oversee engineering management plans and tasks.
  • Translate stakeholder and customer requirements into comprehensive project solutions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and customers to align the project outputs with their expectations.
  • Ensure system integrity through lifecycle management and maintain traceability of design decisions.
  • Support product lifecycle stages to deliver an integrated solution.
  • Organise engineering design gate reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
  • Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities impacting project delivery.
  • Engage with engineering leadership and program management to ensure appropriate project resourcing and capability.
  • Champion continuous improvement by incorporating effective systems engineering practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project engineering, especially related to aerospace systems.
  • Understanding and application of systems engineering practices.
  • Experience with requirements management and verification tools, preferably DOORS/CRADLE.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving solutions.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders effectively and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Recognised engineering degree or equivalent qualifications with experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or systems product development.
