Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our Gynaecology Nursing team on Branston Ward at Lincoln County Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care to women undergoing elective and emergency procedures
  • Support the multi-disciplinary team in implementing and planning patient care
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained to a high IPC standard
  • Manage resources effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Reflect the Trust's values and behaviors in all aspects of your work
Requirements
  • Literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Functional Skills level 1 or above
  • Literacy and numeracy qualification equivalent to Functional Skills level 2
  • Successful completion of the Care Certificate
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in a Health Related area or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualities
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
  • Previous experience of working in a health/care setting
  • Understanding of the role of the Health Care Support Worker
  • Ability to work in a demanding and busy environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to forge effective working relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of confidentiality, infection prevention, and dignity in care within the workplace
  • Ability to prioritize and manage daily workload
  • Awareness and knowledge of the dignity in care agenda
  • Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviors in line with the Trust framework
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety, Infection Prevention, and Manual Handling
