JMC Aviation is collaborating with a Component Repair organization seeking to appoint a new Electrical Engineering Team Supervisor to enhance their workforce.

This esteemed client specializes in the repair of components for a diverse array of commercial aircraft, encompassing electrical, mechanical, interior, and welding services. This is a Permanent Role situated in a dynamic environment, with standard working hours of 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday.

Compensation and Benefits:

Role Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the Electrical, Avionics, and R&D workshop to meet established production targets. This includes planning and maintaining systems and procedures for operational efficiency, as well as managing team members to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess team member requirements for the workshop.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members as necessary.
  • Oversee workshop teams in alignment with company policies.
  • Organize tasks and activities to achieve business unit goals.
  • Establish employee objectives and targets.
  • Develop team members to unlock their full potential.
  • Evaluate team member performance, including conducting performance reviews.
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members to meet objectives.
  • Allocate available resources effectively.
  • Monitor and support team members with their work progress.
  • Implement procedures and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Formulate departmental policies and practices.
  • Facilitate the preparation and analysis of reports.
  • Review performance metrics to track productivity, goal attainment, and activity levels.
  • Accountable for achieving the team's productivity and quality objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably possesses an Electrical background within the Aviation sector.
  • Experience in the aerospace engineering field, particularly with aviation components.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers or technicians.
  • Desirable experience in an aerospace engineering workshop or with inspector approval.
  • Understanding of people management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with basic planning, monitoring, and workload management to meet production targets.
  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures is advantageous.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
