About the Role
Wates is seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team at a prestigious client's campus in South Cambridge. This role involves providing both planned and reactive maintenance for all electrical equipment, controlling and operating building systems, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and people management skills, a sound judgment, and a commitment to achieving high standards and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all help desk calls (planned and reactive) are fully completed and passed back to the Supervisor within defined timescales.
- Proactively monitor and improve building system performance, focusing on energy efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Provide first-line response for planned and reactive maintenance on all mechanical and electrical plant, including pumps, motors, drives, air handling units (AHUs), low voltage switchgear, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
This role operates on a continental shift rota.
