Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the team to deliver the best possible shopping experience for customers
  • Open and close the store, ensuring all decisions are made with the customer, colleague, and safety in mind
  • Support the Store Manager in coordinating seasonal, community, and charity events
  • Ensure the store is always clean, tidy, and well-presented
  • Prioritize the replenishment of products that matter to customers
  • Take immediate action for any overcharges and prevent reoccurrence
  • Proactively manage queues to deliver a great shopping experience
  • Be knowledgeable about the store and coordinate others to deliver practical actions to improve operations
  • Look for ways to simplify operations and share ideas with the Store Manager
  • Understand and remove obstacles to delivering great service
  • Resolve colleague queries and escalate to the Store Manager when necessary
  • Ensure the store is staffed appropriately and react to short-term absences
  • Be a recognized Keyholder and attend alarm call-outs as necessary
  • Monitor and action internal communications and keep colleagues informed
  • Coordinate colleagues to meet customer needs and store operations
  • Balance time across service and replenishment areas
  • Support the Store Manager in managing absence and conducting return-to-work interviews
  • Build meaningful relationships with the Area Manager and People Partner
