Job Overview

The Procurement/Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading the procurement team in building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, managing purchase order systems, and monitoring product inventory for Laboris Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement department to secure best prices and terms for products and services from suppliers.
  • Lead the team to grow the current supply chain and identify new opportunities.
  • Oversee the application process for credit applications and setting up trade accounts with new suppliers.
  • Regularly review and improve procurement processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to processes across the department and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Liaise with commercial and finance departments to ensure awareness of high-value orders and cash requirements.
  • Collaborate with design and project management teams to achieve successful procurement outcomes.
  • Line manage three staff members, including a buyer, procurement coordinator, and logistics supervisor.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing a team and negotiating preferential terms with suppliers.
  • Experience in liaising with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at a senior level.
  • IT proficiency.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience in using Xero, Costtracker, and Procore.
