Join Our Team as an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to work as an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist / Autism Support Assistant at a reputable school in Camberley, supporting children aged 4-19 with complex needs.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to put your studies into practice and gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable children with additional needs. You will work alongside teachers and specialist staff to provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe they can succeed in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and associated challenging behaviors.
  • Work alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors to provide a comprehensive support package.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students' needs.

  • Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Approachable, able to build robust and effective relationships with students.
  • Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict.
  • High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work.
