We are seeking an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join our team at Amazon TA. As a key member of our Fulfilment Centre operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineering technicians and ensuring the maintenance of our equipment to meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the team by identifying and addressing barriers to safe, standard, and efficient work practices.
- Collaborate with the site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement, record, and audit safety and statutory compliance programs.
- Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Manage and drive the training program for the team to ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for all shifts.
- Support local and EU-level projects as assigned by the manager.
- Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.
- Degree or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant engineering discipline or served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship.
- Significant practical engineering experience, including a supervisory role managing people.
- Experience of automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, CAD).
- Experience working with PLC-based control systems.
- Project Management experience.
- Knowledge of CMMS programs.
- Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process.
