Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Depot Manager to join our team in Exeter. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the full compliance of the depot, including employee welfare, building contents, and vehicles in line with company policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure depot compliance with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  2. Produce analytical reports and investigate anomalies to improve performance or efficiencies.
  3. Conduct and attend scheduled and ad hoc meetings with team, peers, and senior management.
  4. Manage temperature tracking and reporting, ensuring efficient incident management on depot facilities and vehicles.
  5. Support resource planning within the depot and assist with recruitment requirements.
  6. Responsible for new driver induction training and mentoring.
  7. Act as first line of support for employee relation cases/issues.
Requirements:
  • Transport experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • B category driving licence (ideally no more than 3 points).
  • CPC advantageous but not essential.
  • Temperature control experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle, fleet, and fridges, plus IT packages such as Word, Excel, Internet/Intranet, PowerPoint, Masternaut, and Polar Track.
