About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation team at Kier Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of highway maintenance duties, including winter maintenance, to ensure the efficient running of our Area 3 network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed.
  • Responsible for notification to Network Control Centre on commencement and end of winter maintenance and occupation of Roadspace for Traffic Management.
  • Operate a variety of plant and equipment to carry out required duties effectively.
  • Work in close cooperation with team members and subcontractors to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for both network users and work team.
Requirements
  • Full driving license.
  • Experience and knowledge of strict Health and Safety operations and its practical implications.
  • Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team.
