About the Role

This is a critical position within the Baxter organization, where you will play a key role in ensuring the safe handling and storage of products and medicines. As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving, processing, and storing goods in accordance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Warehouse Practice (GWP), and Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and store goods in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring correct data entry and reconciliation of all receipts.
  • Store products by batch and utilize first-expired first-out principles in compliance with temperature and storage condition requirements.
  • Pick, dispense, and dispatch products in accordance with warehouse and pharmacy standard operating procedures and operational KPIs.
  • Conduct frequent compliance checks within the warehouse operations in line with Baxter Management Systems and external requirements.
  • Escalate any operational discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor and Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Record events and assist with investigations in accordance with the complaints procedure.
  • Manage and process all returns and waste in accordance with warehouse and pharmacy standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing Assistant or equivalent (full training will be provided if necessary).
  • High levels of accuracy with data entry.
  • Good IT proficiency, including using warehouse management systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous hands-on operational experience in a warehouse environment and/or pharmacy environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a cold chain environment would be advantageous.
  • Successful experience in following standard operating procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Safeguarding practices (at Level 1 or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of safe manual handling practices.
  • Frequent and repetitive manual handling.
  • Wearing and using PPE (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, safety boots).
