Job Description

Buckinghamshire New University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Academic Leader in Physiotherapy. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of pre-registration physiotherapy modules, as well as assist with physiotherapy practice education management and admissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum content and teaching materials for pre-registration physiotherapy modules.
  • Collaborate with healthcare trusts and other stakeholders to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of the profession and industry.
  • Contribute to the management of physiotherapy practice education and admissions, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Work closely with the Associate Professor of Physiotherapy to develop and implement curriculum changes and improvements.
  • Represent the University at external events and conferences, promoting the work of the University and the Physiotherapy department.
  • Contribute to the development of research and scholarly activity in the area of physiotherapy education.
Requirements
  • First degree in a relevant field (e.g. physiotherapy, education).
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g. MSc in Physiotherapy Education).
  • Evidence of recent scholarship and/or continuing professional development relevant to the post.
  • Recognised HE teaching qualification and/or Fellow of the HEA.
  • Expert knowledge in physiotherapy and education.
  • Relevant teaching experience in the UK or European HE sectors.
  • Proficient Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
