About the Role

We are looking for a Pharmacist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and has a strong commitment to quality and safety. As a Responsible Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medicines, reviewing prescriptions, and supervising the preparation of medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medicines to the public
  • Reviewing prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy and suitability for the patient
  • Supervising the preparation of medicines when not supplied ready-made by manufacturers
  • Maintaining a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes
  • Liaising with doctors and other healthcare professionals to monitor, review, and evaluate the effectiveness of medications
  • Delivery of specialist National Health Service (NHS) services such as New Medicine Service (NMS), Hypertension, NHS referral service (CPCS), Flu and Covid vaccination
  • Participating in the medicinal stock ordering, inventory maintenance, and management according to Lawsat Pharm processes
Requirements
  • Registered with the GPhC
  • Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm)
  • Capable of checking in a high volume of dispensed items
  • Experience in capturing and performing hypertension services
  • Experience in NMS capture and delivery
  • Ability to build good relationships with GPs to develop CPCS capability
