Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Early Years professionals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education to our children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Early Years professionals to deliver high-quality childcare and education
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging learning programs for children aged 0-5 years
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of children and make recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the nursery
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including the Early Years Foundation Stage
Requirements:
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
