Job Title: CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machine Engineer / Technical Support to join our team at Staffbase Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional technical support and advice to customers and engineers to resolve machine breakdowns, assist with machine installations and commissioning, and role out software updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice by telephone, email, and using remote on-line access
  • Process incoming spare and replacement parts orders/enquiries from engineers and customers
  • Investigate and resolve technical/engineering queries over the phone
  • Maintain and update field service engineer work schedules and plan & co-ordinate customer visits as appropriate
  • Process engineers job sheets and update CRM system
  • Maintain training records and book training for engineers as and when necessary
  • Attend occasional machine breakdowns and installations with field service engineers

Requirements:

  • Competent multi-skilled engineer (with electrical bias)
  • Previous experience with automated machinery (e.g. CNC, packaging, robotics)
  • HNC or HND qualification in either mechanical and/or electrical engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under own initiative
