Job Title: Junior Controls Engineer

Location: Tewkesbury, UK

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum

Shift: Days

Industry: Machinery manufacturing

We are working with a leading machine manufacturer based in Tewkesbury, UK, to recruit a Junior Controls Engineer for a days role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Hold a graduate level of electrical engineering knowledge with a strong understanding of mechatronics used in modern machinery manufacture.
  2. Develop a methodical mind-set and attention to detail to create robust software solutions.
  3. Experience of risk assessment, technical files, EN standards, and CE mark is essential.
  4. As required, full training will be given in Siemens and Lenze Industrial software, machinery safety, and industrial vision.
  5. Good literacy skills are required to author technical manuals and operating instructions.
  6. Attend and contribute to weekly design and contract review meetings.
  7. Take responsibility for product cost throughout the design engineering process.
  8. Ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement in all aspects of product software design as appropriate.
  9. AutoCAD Electrical knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. BEng (Hons) 2.1 in Electrical engineering, machine building, and industrial control software.
  2. Reasonable electrical engineering knowledge combined with industrial drive, PLC, and HMI programming experience.
