Job Title: Surgical Examinations Officer

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 18 months

The Royal College of Surgeons of England is a world-renowned professional membership organisation, providing education, assessment, and development to nearly 30,000 surgeons, dental surgeons, and members of the wider surgical and dental teams.

We are seeking Examination Officers to join our Surgical Team, responsible for managing examiner expenses, supporting examiners and candidates, and arranging accommodation for examiners and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate arrangements for examiners, including travel, accommodation, and other logistical needs.
  • Support quality assurance processes post-examination.
  • Compile and verify examination scores and related data.
  • Participate in examiner training days and support committee meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with College policies on data protection and record management.

Requirements:

  • A good all-round education, including A-levels or equivalent.
  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally in an examination or education setting.
  • Good numeracy and IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in arranging logistics, such as travel and accommodation, is desirable but not essential.
