About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Private Maternity Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a Midwife in Private Maternity Unit. The Kensington Wing is seeking an experienced and motivated midwife to provide exceptional patient care and deliver an above-and-beyond patient experience while embracing the Trust's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide midwifery care to women who have chosen private midwifery-led care, ensuring continuity throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
- Facilitate antenatal clinics, antenatal education, and community postnatal visits as required.
- Work closely with obstetric consultants on the Kensington Wing (Private Maternity Unit) to deliver high-quality midwifery care to patients.
- Participate in the development and implementation of service improvements and quality initiatives to enhance service provision.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
Requirements
- Practising midwife with previous experience in private care.
- Evidence of a commitment to post-registration education and achievement of all preceptorship programme competencies.
- Previous experience in managing a ward area or community caseload in the absence of the senior midwife.
- Experience of providing care in a Birth Centre or low-risk maternity unit.
