About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inspiring school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Manage challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants to develop and implement effective educational strategies, tailored to individual student needs.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and engaging school culture, promoting student well-being and academic success.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance (ideally on the Update Service)
- Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students, staff, and parents
- Resilient, proactive, and positive nature, with a passion for supporting students with SEN
- Experience in classrooms supporting students with SEN
- High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with students
