Job Description

Job Title: Senior Clinical Lead for Mental Health Services for Older Adults

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled clinical leader to lead our Mental Health Services for Older Adults team. As a Senior Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing senior clinical leadership and line management to the team, working closely with the Directorate Lead for Psychology and Psychological Therapies and other clinical and operational senior leaders to develop and deliver a high-quality, responsive, and accessible psychological service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior clinical leadership and line management to the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team.
  • Work with the Directorate Lead for Psychology and Psychological Therapies and other clinical and operational senior leaders to develop and deliver a high-quality, responsive, and accessible psychological service.
  • Manage the delegated budget for the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the staff working within the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team.
  • Work within a multi-professional and recovery-oriented framework to actively facilitate psychologically informed ways of working within the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team.
  • Ensure systems are in place and working effectively for the supervision and governance of the clinical practice for all clinicians within the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team.
  • Facilitate training, development, and application of agreed models of psychological, psychosocial, and psycho-educational interventions as needed within the Trust.
  • Ensure robust supervision and clinical support is available to colleagues within the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team and the Mental Health directorate on matters related to the provision of psychological interventions for older adults.
  • Provide clinical leadership on all matters relating to the provision and practice of applied psychology and psychological therapies within the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team.
  • Carry a small clinical caseload in a relevant area of the Mental Health Services for Older Adults team.
