About the Role:

We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to work within Secondary Schools across Cheshire East. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes across Key Stage 3 and 4 during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Manage student behavior in line with the school's behavior policy, ensuring students are on task and addressing any immediate problems according to school procedures.
  • Teaching Support: Aid pupils in their learning as effectively as possible, helping children with additional educational needs.
  • Initiative and Adaptability: Use initiative to promote good behavior and adapt to changing situations.
  • Reliability and Flexibility: Demonstrate reliability and flexibility in your work, being available for day-to-day supply or long-term positions.

Requirements:

  • Education: No specific qualifications required, but a passion for education and a friendly, positive attitude are essential.
  • Skills: Ability to use initiative, reliability, adaptability, and a passion for education.
