Role Summary:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Director and Heads of Aviva Ventures with the development and oversight of Venture & Growth Capital investments. You will act as a comprehensive transaction leader, guiding deals from initial evaluation through to completion. The Aviva Investors Venture & Growth Capital team is a compact and agile group currently comprising five members. This team manages both direct and indirect investments across two primary mandates: Corporate Venture Capital and Long-Term Capital Growth. Your responsibilities will include supporting transaction execution, conducting investment due diligence, engaging in management meetings, analyzing cap tables, evaluating business and financial models, and drafting investment memos and papers. Additionally, you will contribute to the deal flow pipeline through proactive networking and in-depth market research.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- A demonstrated passion for pursuing a career in Venture & Growth Capital.
- Previous experience in Venture Capital or Growth Capital.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and navigating diverse topics efficiently while balancing competing priorities.
- A professional finance qualification is advantageous (e.g., ACA, CIMA, CAIA, CFA, MBA).
- Ability to thrive in a demanding environment, exhibiting strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various teams.

In this position, you will be 'Certified' under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority's Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This entails undergoing regulatory background checks prior to commencing your role, along with annual assessments to ensure ongoing fitness and propriety for your position. Training on the implications of holding a SMCR role will be provided upon joining and annually thereafter.
