We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Practitioner Child to join our Swansea Therapeutic Team within the Family Support Service, Child and Family Services in Swansea. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, innovative, and meaningful work with children, young people, and their families.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have substantial knowledge and experience of working with developmental trauma, as well as experience of working with families within the care system and social care teams. You will be responsible for therapeutic work, consultation to social care staff, and engagement of the wider network supporting children and families in Swansea.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic work with children, young people, and their families
  • Consult with social care staff to inform practice and improve outcomes
  • Engage with the wider network of professionals supporting children and families in Swansea
  • Contribute to the development of therapeutic services within Edge of Care/Supported Care Planning and with children who are looked after
