The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across various healthcare settings. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive optimal medication therapy tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical pharmacy services within primary healthcare environments.
- Lead initiatives focused on medication optimization, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines.
- Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for patients with chronic conditions.
- Engage in patient-facing consultations to support medication adherence and education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and care pathways.
- Develop and implement protocols related to pharmaceutical care and medication management.
- Participate in the training and supervision of junior pharmacy staff and students.
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of clinical performance metrics.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
- Completion of pre-registration training.
- Relevant experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Independent Prescriber status or commitment to achieve this upon appointment.
Desirable:
- Membership in professional pharmacy organizations.
- Postgraduate clinical qualification or progress towards it.
Additional Requirements
Possession of a valid UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
