About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, St Helier Hospital. As a key member of our acute General Paediatric team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a comprehensive service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide routine day-to-day acute paediatric services, including attending Consultant on a 1 in 5 week basis on the General Paediatric ward.
  • Contribute to the wide range of acute paediatric services, including the first fit clinic.
  • Participate in strategic planning of services with local partners.
  • Supervise junior doctors and contribute to their education and training.
  • Contribute to clinical governance arrangements, including participation in clinical audit and research.

Requirements

  • Entry onto the Specialist Register for GMC in Paediatrics or be within six months of obtaining CCT.
  • MRCPCH or equivalent.
  • APLS and NLS provider.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrate an understanding and willingness to embrace user involvement.
