About the Role:
The Attendance and Intervention Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the student journey at William College. As a key member of the Student Support Department, you will work closely with stakeholders to provide attendance and intervention support, ensuring students receive the necessary guidance and resources to achieve their academic goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attendance Management: Develop and implement effective methods for evaluating student performance, including attendance records and registry support.
- Progression and Retention: Monitor, coordinate, and assess student progression and retention rates, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance student engagement.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students on course selection and academic progression, ensuring they receive the necessary resources to succeed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with partner universities to manage student data accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely and authentic communication regarding student engagement.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate precise and timely reports for the senior management team on student attendance, progression, and retention, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Training and Development: Work with the Attendance and Intervention Lead/Student Support Manager to enhance the skills of the Intervention Support and Student Support teams through the creation of guidance materials, sharing of best practices, and conducting regular training and process evaluations.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: Knowledge in customer service standards, ability to prioritize competing deadlines and workloads, highly developed oral and written communication skills, and ability to work on own initiative.
- Desirable: Higher education experience and customer service qualification.
