Senior Associate, EMEA Relationship Management Specialist

Job Title: EMEA Relationship Manager at Ares Management Corporation
Ares Management Corporation's Relationship Management team focuses on fundraising across various investment strategies such as credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and secondaries for institutional investors.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships and developing tailored solutions for EMEA insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the EMEA Relationship Management team in structuring solutions and increasing Assets Under Management (AUM) with EMEA insurance companies.
- Strong knowledge of insurance balance sheet dynamics, particularly under the Solvency II regime in the UK, Europe, and Switzerland.
- Demonstrated ability in generating innovative ideas and implementing insurance-friendly asset strategies.
- Proficiency in quantitative modeling for asset and balance sheet optimization.
- Familiarity with market risks impacting the insurance sector, enhancing shareholder value, and collaborating with insurance balance sheets.
- Experience in liaising with rating agencies, negotiating legal agreements, and managing processes from start to finish.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in financial modeling for insurance asset allocation.
- Thorough understanding of the Solvency II regime.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Personal Qualities:
- Fluent in English; knowledge of another European language is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team, quick learner, high energy, and enthusiastic.
- Analytical problem solver with strong initiative and work ethic.
- Self-motivated individual capable of prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and preferred VBA/coding skills.
