Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Dagenham

Shift: Early / Late rotating shift (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 plus shift uplift

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team at Tech Connect Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of production operatives and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive team performance and quality, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and People Policies.
  • Conduct regular communication briefs and manage team skills matrix and training needs.
  • Oversee payroll approval and handle confidential documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH, through risk assessments and managing accidents/near-misses.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure compliance for audits.
  • Drive production plans and manage metrics, ensuring parts supply and prioritizing tasks.
  • Monitor and improve performance issues, manage resources and overtime, and reduce non-conformance costs.

Requirements:

  • ILM Level 3 or equivalent required; ideally with HSE certification (IOSH or NEBOSH).
  • Demonstrable experience managing teams of circa 30 in an automotive assembly setting.
  • Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and customer-focused quality practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficient in Excel/Microsoft Office for KPI reporting.
  • Relevant automotive assembly manufacturing experience with knowledge of process flow, value stream mapping, takt times, and lean manufacturing.
