We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team at Tech Connect Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production facility, ensuring that all production targets are met and that our products are of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of production operatives to ensure that all production targets are met
- Oversee the production process, including quality control, housekeeping, and adherence to Health & Safety regulations
- Conduct regular communication briefs and manage team skills matrix and training needs
- Oversee payroll approval and handle confidential documents
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH, through risk assessments and managing accidents/near-misses
- Maintain high housekeeping standards, ensure compliance for audits, manage engineering concerns, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive production plans, manage metrics, ensure parts supply, prioritize tasks, and oversee new product introductions
- Monitor and improve performance issues, manage resources and overtime, and reduce non-conformance costs
- ILM Level 3 or equivalent required; ideally with HSE certification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
- Demonstrable experience managing teams of ~30 in an automotive assembly setting
- Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and customer-focused quality practices
- Experience with ERP systems, people-centric databases (e.g., SAP, ADP), and proficient in Excel/Microsoft Office for KPI reporting
- Relevant automotive assembly manufacturing experience with knowledge of process flow, value stream mapping, takt times, and lean manufacturing
