About the Role:

We are seeking a charismatic and service-driven Head Waiter to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences at South Place Hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant, Angler. As a pivotal member of our team, you will thrive in our bustling restaurant environment, effortlessly multitasking and providing support to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional service standards and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our menu, wine list, and service standards to provide expert guidance to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Provide coaching and training to junior team members to ensure they meet the highest standards of service and quality.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu concepts, promotions, and events to drive business growth and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high standards of food quality.
  • Manage and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to inform service improvements and menu development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Waiter or in a similar leadership role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails, with the ability to provide expert guidance to junior team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tables and priorities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
