About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caretaker to join our team at Ty Bronllys home and school in Brecon. As a Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and ensuring the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and maintaining the building, including pest control and gardening duties
  • Inspecting and maintaining heating, cooling, lighting, and alarm systems
  • Ensuring the highest standards of personal hygiene and courtesy to clients, colleagues, and visitors
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to our Confidentiality Policy
  • Working collaboratively with the team to provide a fulfilling environment for our clients
  • Promoting a positive image of the unit and the organisation
  • Assuming additional tasks and duties as required

Requirements:

Ability to manage crisis situationsCourtesy, honesty, and practicalityEffective communication skillsAdherence to health and safety regulationsBasic maintenance and repair skillsUnderstanding of technical information and building designDesirable qualifications in construction, building, engineering, or IOSHHigh school education with GCSEs, NVQs, or SVQs
