Residential Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our team at Ty Bronllys home and school in Brecon. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals with complex needs associated with autism.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining the building to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Assisting with gardening and landscape duties to create a welcoming outdoor space
  • Inspecting the building's systems, including heating, cooling, and lighting, to ensure they are in good working order
  • Maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene and courtesy for all clients, colleagues, and visitors
  • Confidentially handling client information in accordance with our Confidentiality Policy
  • Collaborating with the team to provide a fulfilling environment that supports clients in reaching their full potential
  • Promoting a positive image of the unit and our organisation through professional conduct
  • Performing other tasks and duties as required

To succeed as a Residential Care Assistant, you will need:

  • Effective crisis management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • Basic maintenance and repair skills
  • Understanding of technical information and building design
  • Desirable qualifications in construction, building, engineering, or IOSH
  • High school education with GCSEs, NVQs, or SVQs
