Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aspire People. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils in the classroom, small groups, and one-to-one
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques and behaviour-based instruction
  • Follow children's specialised support plans to help them achieve their full potential
  • Support the teacher in the classroom, which may include marking and delivering lessons
Requirements:
  • Desirable: Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or 3 in childhood studies or TA course)
  • Desirable: Relevant experience within the care sector, childminding, or voluntary experience within a school
  • Desirable: Extra SEN Training certificates (such as MAPA, Makaton, Team Teach)
  • A genuine interest in helping support children with extra needs
