Occupational Therapist Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team of paediatric specialists. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with children aged 0-19 years with a range of neurological, genetic, and developmental conditions.
Main Responsibilities
Your main duties will include assessing and treating children in our Special Schools team, managing your own caseload, and delegating effectively to junior staff. You will also be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of the service, including reallocating staff when needed.
Requirements
- Registered with HCPC
- Experience of working in paediatric OT roles, preferably in a Band 6 or Band 7 position
- Knowledge of relevant disability, NHS, and social care legislation, including safeguarding
- Highly specialist knowledge and understanding of application of Occupational Therapy for neurological and neurodevelopmental paediatric-related conditions
- Advanced clinical reasoning skills, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
