Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Broker to join our team as a Commercial Account Handler. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with underwriters and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, including existing and new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client portfolio
  • Develop and implement effective account management strategies to retain and grow existing business
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of insurance solutions to clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to provide expert advice to clients

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance, preferably in a brokerage environment
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including Property Damage, Terrorism, Motor Fleet, Directors & Officers Liability, Public Liability, Engineering, and Employers Liability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with underwriters and clients, building strong relationships and negotiating premiums
  • Experience with premium exposure ranging from £5,000 to £200,000
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional certifications, such as Cert CII, are advantageous
