Position Overview: Research Associate in Leukaemia Biology

- Location: Derry~Londonderry / C-TRIC, Altnagelvin Area Hospital
Job Objective: The AICRIstart initiative is dedicated to building a robust foundation for cancer research in Ireland, with a particular emphasis on precision oncology. This project, supported by a Strand III Higher Education Academy North-South Award, fosters collaboration among multiple academic institutions. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to a project focused on chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and its interaction with the microbiome. The primary aim is to uncover early indicators of immune decline within the microbiome to assist in identifying patients at risk who may benefit from timely intervention.
The successful applicant will become part of a vibrant and collaborative research team that values excellence, translational impact, and a dynamic research environment. The role is situated at the Personalised Medicine Centre within the School of Medicine, with occasional responsibilities at the School of Biomedical Sciences.
Note: This position is not eligible for university sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route.
